Evora, Cesaria
Premiere chanteuse of the Cape Verde Islands, this suddenly popular performer sings traditional folk songs in Portuguese. Site is a simple bio and discography.

This Swedish trio blends traditional musics from around the world, including bluegrass. They seem to be all over the U.S. this fall.

Riviere, Dominique

Yacoub, Gabriel
Internationally known for leading the group Malicorne, which did for French traditional music what Fairport Convention did for the English. His solo work combines hauntingly beautiful original songs with traditional material. Official site is bilingual (T, B, P, L (translations), S, MP3, $, X) 05/04
